Successful completion of the quarterfinal of the championship of Israel
has pushed N.Kopaloff and M.Lurie to idea to carry out in Netanya
a tournament with normative on the international rating. In result of
successfully carried out organizational work and due to the consent
to participation of all strongest players of club which the master
from Kfar-Saba A.Drozdov has joined also, it was possible to collect
strong structure of participants, more than sufficient for normative
on the international rating. The rules of tournament was the following:
round-robin in 9 rounds, one round per week, 2 hours to player per game.
First three places were stimulated by cash prizes.
Competitors pretending to get the international rating were Z.Izrailov, O.Zror and S.Gritun.
For all others it was rather interesting and useful tournament too.
Tournament has not revealed the sole winner.
Z.Izrailov and M.Lurie have shared 1-2 places with good result
of 6.5 from 9, without losses.
4.5 points in 7 games with owners of the international rating
allow Z. Izrailov to expect reception of good international factor.
A. Drozdov who has occupied the third place has remained little bit
disappointed by his result. It is clear,
the player having the best rating in tournament always expects only
the first place, however in games with him everyone, as having agreed,
aspired to a drawn game, and he, a miracle having escaped in a starting
meeting with S.Gritun, not especially aspired to complications.
Hasidovsky, occupied the fourth place, also can feel like unsatisfied
cause only couple of months ago he has won the quarterfinal
of the championship of Israel with shine,
and here he could not get even in the three of prize-winners.
S.Gritun's fifth place is a small sensation cause, almost not having tournament practice,
he, nevertheless, could bypass half of participants of tournament.
From the company of the chess players who have shared 6-9 places,
only O.Zror can be rather satisfied with the result
- he has played so strong tournament for the first time,
nevertheless the others will try to return to themselves
the points of a rating lost in this event.
As if to N.Kopaloff,
that, is thought, he will try to forget about his result
in this competition as soon as possible.
In summary it would be desirable to thank all participants
for that fine atmosphere they have created,
having agreed to take part in tournament!
