Dan Poleg, aged 8, pupil of chess section in the Culture Center of Tel Mond managed by Nick Kopaloff, played versus 16 members of the section simultaneously this Sunday, 11/1/2009.
Dan, brilliant chess player, has already represented Israel in Europe championship under age 8 in Georgia, and even has qualified to Israel championship under age 9 this year.
Dan has shown impressive result by winning all 16 games. The pressure was high and game level matched the pressure level.
5 children have special medals, Eyal Itshaki, Gal Koen, Ofek, Amir, Liri, and Amit Mendelevits.
The rest of Poleg family is remarkable in the royal game too. The elder brother Matan, also pupil of Tel Mond chess section, has participated in Israel championship final under age 11, and the father Alex is an active league player.
